The Family Church meeting starts at 6pm on Sundays at Roselea Public School (map). At all our meetings, we gather together because we are convinced that God has revealed Himself to us through the Bible and He continues to speak in the words of the Bible. With this Word of God, we teach and encourage each other to trust God to save us and make us like His dear son, Jesus.
This means that during our meeting we read the Bible together and hear it preached, usually by our minister. We pray to God together and sing the truth about Jesus to each other.
Our 6pm meeting is an informal family meeting. During this time we sing, pray and hear the Bible read to us. Our members come from a variety of cultural backgrounds, reflecting the local community.
Once a month, on the fourth Sunday of the month we have Dinner Church. On this evening we run the meeting a little differently: we have a sit-down dinner together and look at a particular topic from the Bible or issues of Christian living.
How long is a church meeting at Carlingford Presbyterian? Most of our meetings take around an hour for the formal service. Then everyone is invited to stay around for a cup of tea and a chat.
